Barbara and Wilford Jones at 271 North Second East, the former residence of Hans and Eoline Andersen and their daughters Lora Woodbury and Barbara Jones. They purchased the home in about 1945 for $2,000. Hans Andersen was very ill, and spent little time in the home; during this time he went to Long Beach, California to spend time wth his daughter Mary Hagemeister and her husband Charlie. Barbara lived in this home until she was married in 1958 - - during this time she attended junior high school, high school, and one year of college at Utah State Unviersity, she graduated from seminary, and she worked at the Logan Public Library and then for Mountain Bell. In this home Barbara would babysit the children of Zeno and Mell Ree Andersen (Clair, Coy, Blaine, Dale, and Kay). Barbara had the chicken pox in the summer of 1945 (she recalls eating raspberry jam and toast for lunch during those days), and for many years suffered from hives to such an extent her lips and eyes would swell to the point she had difficulty seeing, and missed much school; these problems continued even after she was dating Wilford Jones. Aunt Lora later moved to Salt Lake City, and found a Doctor Barrett who was able to help greatly.

The marriage of Charlie and Mary Hagemeister took place in this home on September 26, 1945. Barbara played the marriage march on the piano playing with on finger, and Mary descended the stairs in the home. Charlie later joined the Church, and they were sealed in the Logan Temple in 1952 (Connie Sorensen, who lived across the street, made a nice nylon dress for Mary Ann, who was 6 months old). Lora left the home for a time after 1946 when she married Vernon Maughan, but that marriage was short-lived; she later married LaVarr Woodbury, but spent time in the home while "Woody" was away during the Korean War.

In about 1948, part of the south side of the home was converted to a rental. The floor plan was modified for such needs, including a bedroom being converted into a kitchen.

This house is just a few block to the northwest of the Logan Temple. Eoline Andersen had a paying job at the temple until her health would no longer allow it.
