20040319 Historic Sites of Logan Tour with Wilf and Barbara Jones
Barbara and Wilford Jones at the entry of the building that fomerly served as the Logan Public Library. It is located on the southeast corner of First South and First East (90 North First East). Barbara Jones worked there as a librarian, starting while attending high school and ending when he joined Mountain Bell in 1952. Barbara's mother, Eoline Andersen, served as a genealogical librarian every Thursday for many years, possibly as many as twenty years. The library also had a theater in the basement that could be rented for use by groups such as the Girl Scouts. Wilford Jones used the library, incurred numerous late fees. Virginia Hansen, the librarian, had a gum drop machine, so that children who used the library could have gum drops.
