20040319 Historic Sites of Logan Tour with Wilf and Barbara Jones
The Ellen Eccles Theatre near Main and Center street, in former days the Capitol Theatre movie house. This was the largest and best movie house in Logan, and had a large balcony with side extensions. This is where Wilford Jones first viewed great films such as "The Maltese Falcon" and "Treasure of the Sierra Madre." Barbara Jones would go tot this theater or the Roxy on the afternoon that her mother worked in the temple. The price for an evening ticket was 5 or 10 cents, even less expensive during the day. Popcorn was about 5 cents.
